I have never been able to answer the question why I sew. Just because I must. Because I feel I would be less if I didn’t. I sew because I must sew.

These days I accept what Jung said: ’The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves.’
